💧 Natural Resource Management Program
🌱 What We Do
Through this program, COSDEP trains and mobilizes farmers to adopt agroecological practices that restore and protect fragile ecosystems. These include:
🌳 Agroforestry – integrating trees into farms to improve soil fertility, prevent erosion, and enhance biodiversity.
🌊 Riparian Zone Rehabilitation – protecting rivers and streams by planting the right tree species and discouraging harmful farming along riparian areas.
🐞 Natural Soil and Pest Management – encouraging farmers to use organic methods for soil fertility and pest control instead of harmful chemicals.
📢 Awareness Creation – sensitizing communities on the importance of watershed management and its role in combating climate change.
🌍 Why It Matters
Protects water resources from pollution and ensures clean water for households and farming.
Restores degraded lands, strengthening climate change resilience.
Promotes sustainable livelihoods by ensuring long-term productivity of farmlands.
Builds awareness on the link between environmental care and human health.
