📖📖 OVERVIEW

The Agroecology Fund Project is a long-term initiative that has been running for over 15 years with support from Tudor Trust UK. The project focuses on training smallholder farmers in agroecology within Kiambu and Murang’a Counties. It aims to promote sustainable farming methods that enhance food and nutritional security, increase household income, and ensure sound environmental management.

🎯🎯 OBJECTIVES

  • Raise Awareness: Educate farmers on the dangers of conventional farming methods that rely on synthetic external inputs.
  • Promote Organic Farming: Train farmer groups on sustainable organic farming techniques to restore the ecological balance of the area and achieve long-term food security.
  • Farmer Support & Monitoring: Provide ongoing follow-up to ensure farmers implement the organic practices they have learned.
  • Managerial Skill Development: Equip farmers with essential management skills to improve productivity and sustainability.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Organize and facilitate farmer learning and exchange visits to promote shared experiences and peer learning.
